Full professor and Dean of the Department of Industrial and Informatics Engineering (DIII) of the Second University of Naples (SUN), Italy. He teaches: Fundamentals ofMeasurements, Measurements and Remote Control Systems, Applied Thermodynamics. He is author of more than 130 publications (papers in scientific journals, books and textbooks). He is an expert of measurement engineering, remote control and supervisory systems (SCADA) in supply and distribution networks. His field of interest is the measurement and control of the main physical parameters in water/gas/heat networks. About measurement sensors, he have deeply studied and investigated on flowmetering devices, both for liquids and gases. He have deeply studied the Automatic Meter Reading (AMR) systems for utility meters, smart meters and application to smart networks. He studies also domotics and building automation systems. He works also on the automatic identification and data collection systems (AIDC). He is the Chairman of WINCOMERS, the World Institute for Network COntrol and MEter Reading Systems. He collaborates with many Universities, Research Institutes, Metrological Laboratories and scientific journals on the topics of interest.
